18)   True or False: Operation D-Day is the largest amphibious attack in world history.

19)   Where is the American National D-Day Memorial located and Why?
Even though this was not the decisive battle of the Second World War (arguably, that was Stalingrad), the Normandy Invasion is truly one of the major battles in American history. It involved a tremendous amount of planning, innovative engineering and secrecy. The more I studied this intriguing subject, the more I wanted to learn about it, Operation Fortitude and Project Mulberry in particular. My family and I recently hosted a D-day Remembrance Picnic with several families from our church body down here and I was so blessed by this event. The history that I learned (from the above quiz especially!), the original poem that was shared about honoring those who secured our present freedoms, the fellowship of believers and enthusiasm for history, honor and remembrance that was exuded by so many... all of this and more made the day refreshing and memorable and inspiring.
